Sunday- our final day!

We our currently on our last stretch home!
We were up by 6:45am so we could be at out breakfast by 7am. We all had coupons for free breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. The coupon included: eggs made to order, hashbrowns, bacon, toast, and juice.... Or substitute eggs for pancakes!!!
Needless to say, everyone had a great hearty breakfast and we were on the road by 8am, eastern time!

It is Tricia Porter's birthday today, one of our awesome adult leaders! We made sure to celebrate lots with decorations, cupcakes, and Tierra's!

We stopped for lunch at Madison plaza food court, the same place we stopped on our way out!

Movies we have watched today:
How to train your Dragon, Lego Movie, Mean Girls, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

We have made great time and should be arriving home at 5pm central time!

Thought we should add some pictures of our chaperones with their kiddos!

Not only are we so blessed with amazing youth, but we are so grateful for our supporting triple A adults who have been nothing but helpful, supportive, affirming, and a blast to be with this week! Thank you!!!

Saturday- bus/hotel day!

We were up and packing by 7am
Made sure to grab breakfast before loading the bus by 8am!
We pulled out of Bluefield college by 8:30am.
We stopped for lunch in Ohio. Our original bus driver Kenny was back, and we were grateful!
We watched a couple movies and slept a lot for we have all had a busy week!

We arrived at the hotel (same one as last week) where we had a few hours to grab dinner and have some pool time before in rooms by 9:30. Everyone was very excited to have a good nights sleep ahead of them!
We had quite a thunderstorm over the dinner hours so a few people got a little wet walking back but all is well!

The kids had some pool/ hot tub time!
Our plan is to be up by 7am, have some breakfast, and be on the road by 7:45am.

Friday- last work day

Weather: beautiful day today! Partly cloudy, easy breezes, sunshine! We couldn't of asked for a better day!

Highlights from the day:

Job site highs and lows:
We got done really quickly with our jobs! It looks fabulous!

We ran out of nails and had no phone service- but the phone randomly rang and it was Jamie to offer his help!

We appreciate all the help from other crews to help us get projects completed!

The flash mob to country roads that lifted our spirits!

Moving the ladder and I forgot to remove the paint tray and spilled paint all over my pants and shoes.

We loved our stray dog Baxter!

The slide show of the residents and their worksites at our final program.

Getting to know everyone else on the trip this week!

Meeting all people from different states and hearing the different words they use!

Getting to sing and dance and laugh and sing with all the positive energy!

Seeing a new part of the country I haven't experienced!

I'm sad it's the end of the week... And this trip has to end.
