Rachel and Natalie-
Oh hey, didn't see you there! Welcome back back to the blog. Today was a good day!
Despite the hot weather, the roach nest, the wasps that would not die, and the flying ants that would not stop biting..... It was a good day!
Down south they consider hotdogs with chili on them... They were the bomb.com.... They were kind of like sloppy joes. She offered up free hair cuts, swimming in her pool, and staying at her house for the night....our resident, Edith, who is the mom of the daughter's house we are working on is so nice.
Some random highlights from our work camp week include:
The hash browns from breakfast this morning taste like McDonalds hash browns.
We went on a trip to Walmart, down the road, and talked in a British accent, and we think people bought it!!
Evening program was a bit emotional for some tonight- we had to write down negative thoughts we hear from others or we hear from ourselves.... And then find our youth leader afterward to give us the words of actual truth, and positive affirmation....
Our leaders helped us embrace the positive by surrounding us and saying a phrase " we are thankful for you, and you are loved by us"
Devotions at night with our group is always fun....as we do highs and lows with Zion groups.
We have a great inside joke of Angel Armies..... Ask pastor mollie or peter....
We finished the night with star gazing, meeting new friends from different states and comparing accents, and out night is ending with chilling with Pastor Mollie and eating all her food.
From the blue ridge mountains of Virginia,
Yours truly,
The breakfast cl.......oh....wait... I mean....
Natalie and Rachel
